Tata Nano, the new car introduced by Tata motors, is an amazingly cheap car. With a price tag of US$ 2500, Tata Nano is indeed an affordable middle class family car.


Pros
-21% more volume or space inside than the 800.
- 624-cc petrol engine generating 33 bhp of power.

30-litre fuel tank and 4-speed manual gearshift.

-dashboard has a speedometer, fuel gauge, and oil light.

-Nano has passed the full-frontal crash and the side impact crash tests.

Application forms to register to buy the car will be accepted from April 9-25 2009.
First deliveries of the Nano to customers will occur in July 2009.

Safety :

Besides having the right parts to meet the cost objective, Tata Nano has adequate features that exceed current regulatory requirements and meet minimum safety standards. It has a sheet-metal body with strong passenger compartment equipped with safety features such as crumple zones, intrusion-resistant doors, seat belts, strong seats and anchorages. The rear tailgate glass is fixed to the body and tubeless tyres enhance safety further.
